The programme, which lasts around 18 days over the course of a year, is often based at a university. It combines lectures with practical exercises that provide a better understanding of the other’s religion or of secularism in its various forms in Europe. It forges links between people by encouraging integration into the culture of the country concerned, while at the same time allowing religious freedom to be expressed. Through its collective projects, it enables everyone to understand how their religion works, its decision-making processes, its places of worship and its representatives, and works towards harmony and openness in multicultural societies.
