CEB is designed to provide useful skills for individual development and interpersonal communication across non-clinical populations. The training encourages participants to set their aspirations for exceptional mental health (genuine happiness) through attentional, emotional, cognitive and conative balances.

CEB creates choices whether to engage emotionally, if you have to engage, to have a choice over how to engage. It enables to have your emotions work for you not against you and to have your experience of emotions be constructive not destructive. It allows you to identify the root causes of suffering and move towards genuine happiness.

The skills of CEB comprise an understanding of how your emotions work. You learn how to recognizing your hot triggers and their scripts and you develop stable attention and relaxation as well as an awareness for self‐monitoring capabilities for: the arising of emotions; the impulse to engage emotionally; when you are in the grip of an emotion; the arising of emotions in others, your desires and intentions, the quality of your attention and mindfulness and last lot least the activities and behaviors that foster and/or prevent genuine happiness.
