The Théodore Association founded in 2022 follows in the footsteps of “Rendez-vous avec les Religions”, established in 2008 by a group of representatives from religious traditions present in the Strasbourg area (Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Baha’is …). Its aim is to bring people together on a broader scale and to provide a space for discussion and reflection on cultures and religions, open to all. Creating a new dynamic for bringing together and coordinating those involved in interreligious and interconvictional dialogue.

Whether they are newcomers or long-standing participants, the members of the collective aim to create a new impetus for dialogue and coordination among all the partners involved. 

Promoting peace through acceptance of differences, through the prevention of discrimination, and through mutual understanding that dispels fear—the root cause of exclusion, racism and violence for example through:

• Living out and bearing witness to concrete expressions of fellowship
• Working together through dialogue and mutual respect
• Publication of an interfaith calendar
• Organising regular public interfaith events
